The Coca-Cola Company Strategy Senior Manager in Tokyo, Japan

Job Description Summary:

As Strategy Senior Manager in Coca-Cola Japan & South Korea Operating Unit (OU), you will be responsible for identifying and exploring new business opportunities and growth areas for the company based on business insights. This role involves conducting in-depth industry and market research and analysis, analyzing trends and consumer behaviors, and developing innovative strategies with actions to enhance Coca-Cola's market position and long-term growth (> 3 Years).

  • Define opportunities for long-term growth through market analysis conducting in-depth market research and competitive analysis to get insights from macro/consumer/channel/industry trend and competitive landscape. This includes strong insights skills leveraging data analytics and business understanding to support strategic decision.

  • Prioritize Strategic Options through developing and presenting business cases for new initiatives, providing detailed insights and recommendations to OULT( Operating Unit Leadership Team) and key stakeholders.

  • Strategic Planning and Execution to lead the development and execution of strategic initiatives to drive the company's growth, including market entry, product launches, and competitive strategies. This involves identifying opportunities and challenges in the business environment, setting objectives, and outlining the path to achieving these goals.

  • Financial Modeling and Analysis to develop and maintain financial models to forecast business outcomes and analyze the financial implications of various strategic options. This involves working with large datasets and presenting findings to senior management to support decision-making.

  • Innovation Management to identify and evaluate new business opportunities, such as innovation not only products but new business models, through technological advancements or emerging market trends, that could enhance the company's competitive position. This could involve overseeing pilot projects or partnerships to test new concepts.

  • Monitor and Analyze the performance of new initiatives, making data-driven recommendations for scaling or adjusting strategies as needed.

  • Lead Meaningful Business Transformation for scaling and further growth.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams / Stakeholder management including OU functions, Bottlers, Global functions and external parties to ensure strategic initiatives are aligned with company-wide objectives. This includes coordinating with KO corporate team to implement global strategies effectively.

Scope :

  • Japan & Korea Operating Unit (2 Operations, 2 Countries)

  • Beverage (Soft Drink and Alcohol) business

  • Data analysis, Pulling insights, Corporate Strategy, Innovations, Sustainability, Category and Commercial, Digital, Supply Chain and Operations

  • 6 bottlers as key franchise partners (Coca-Cola Bottlers Japan Inc, Hokkaido Coca-Cola bottling, Michinoku Coca-Cola bottling, Hokuriku Coca-Cola bottling, Okinawa Coca-Cola bottling, CCB in Korea)

Reporting to Strategy Senior Director

KEY SUCCESS PARAMETERS

Experience

  • 7-10 years of experience in several Business Development roles with delivering business results through experiences in Strategy- Corporate/ Consumer/ Commercial/ Marketing or innovation business.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proven ability to interpret complex data and translate insights into actionable strategies.

  • Experience delivering critical business results in the uncertain business environment.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and engage diverse audiences.

  • Leadership capabilities, with experience leading projects with cross-functional teams.

(preferred)

  • Matured and Complex industry, Beverage (soft drink or alcohol) & Food industry experience

  • Familiarity with business intelligence tools and financial modeling techniques.
