Job Purpose Description / Requirements: This Dana facility is located less than three miles from Fiat Chrysler's current Toledo North Assembly Plant, where the current Jeep Wrangler is manufactured. The plant will assemble front and rear axles for the next-generation Jeep Wrangler, keeping the history of the location in Toledo alive. In addition to the proximity to FCA's Toledo plant, Dana's new site is optimally located to support automakers throughout the region. The production scheduler is responsible for the analysis, and execution of all production orders for the assembly of products. This position follows the alternative work schedule and the successful candidate will be scheduled to work 12-hour shifts from 5pm-5am Job Duties and Responsibilities * Maintains accurate inventory records and analyze inventory discrepancies * Expedites operations that delay schedules and alters schedules to meet unforeseen conditions. * Monitor supplier related on-time shipping data as well as updating supplier performance reports * Coordinate/assist with new product launch meetings * Ownership of supplier pipeline * Maintains clean and safe working environment in line with company policies. * Demonstrates attention to detail; Looks for ways to improve and promote quality; Monitors own work to ensure quality * Reports defective materials or questionable conditions to supervisor or quality engineer immediately. * Observes safety and security procedures; Reports potentially unsafe conditions; Uses equipment and materials properly * Schedule production for assembly lines including incoming and outgoing parts * Contact suppliers as needed for scheduling of production line * Scheduling of components for assembly - expedite as needed * Maintain all necessary records in the materials department * Tracks weekend loads * Maintain open sales orders * Logistic scheduling * Monitor supplier related on-time shipping data * Control inventory dollars and Cost savings on freight * Work with production on material flow - part presentation to the line * Coordinate and assist with new product launch meetings * Conduct routine cycle counts and maintain audit records * Prepare load sheets, Control shim inventory and rating disputes * Updates packaging per customer specifications Requirements: * High School Diploma or GED equivalent required. An employee in Corrective Action or an employee who enters Corrective Action during the application process will be disqualified from the application process. * Ability to communicate orally with vendors, management, and other co-workers, both individually and in front of a group is crucial. Regular use of the telephone and e-mail for communication is essential. * Must have the ability to sit for extended periods of time; stoop, kneel, bend, twist, reach, push, pull, grasp, and pinch on a continual basis. * Good manual dexterity for the use of common office equipment such as computer, calculator, copiers and FAX machines. * No heavy lifting is expected but may be involved with cycle counting process; the employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10-20 pounds, occasionally lift and/or move up to 20-50 pounds. * Must possess proficient computer skills including but not limited to Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.) and the ability to efficiently process data * Must b
