Job Summary: We are looking for an experienced Electro-Mechanical Equipment Maintenance Technician for our Print Department tomaintain, repair, troubleshoot electrical codes, and program our dry offset printing presses and large industrial equipment in order to ensure all printing production equipment performs as required in our warehouse. This excellent Technician performs mechanical repairs, preventative maintenance and provides support to other Technical roles. They pride themselves in their safety mindset, attention to detail, troubleshooting capabilities, brilliant work ethic and perfect attendance.

Job Type: Full-time

8 Hour Night Shift: 11:00PM to 7:30 AM Mon-Fri

Some OT may be required

Hiring Bonus: $1,000.00

$1,000.00 per referral bonus

Bi-Annual Bonus Compensation

Responsibilities

  • Performs daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly PM assignments of all dry offset printing presses

  • Assigned work order tasks.

  • Performs daily entry of tasks performed and completed into Berry PM Program.

  • Performs daily reporting of parts used, by use of scanner or other reporting method.

  • Assists production group leaders with day to day problems with machines.

  • Provides daily communication with incoming and outgoing maintenance technicians and Printing Maintenance Group Leader.

  • Maintains GMP, housekeeping and safety standards.

  • Willing to train beginning technicians (Level 1)

  • Basic knowledge of electricity

  • Repair and rebuild color heads

  • Pulls electric motors and replaces

  • Replaces belts andbearings

  • Ability to use axillary equipment (drill, grinder, band saw, etc.)

  • Ability to locate parts from parts list

  • Other duties as assigned by their supervisor

Qualifications

  • Effective written and oral communication skills

  • Must be mechanically and electrically inclined.

  • Perform electrical troubleshooting and codes

  • Must be safety and quality conscience at all times.

  • 5-7 years equipment maintenance experience preferred

  • Ability to work under limited supervision

  • Additional training may be required to retain position

  • Must be familiar with the operation of PLCs, Drives, and robots.

  • Wiring, schematic and electrical diagram readings

  • Must have basic equipment maintenance tools and Multimeter

  • Must be responsible, self- motivated and team oriented. Must be able to make decisions with minimal supervision.

  • Must have a willingness to take a "hands on" approach during times of process interruption.

Education and/or Experience:

Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.

Mathematical Skills:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers and decimals.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several variables.
