Join us as a Staff Engineer Advanced Manufacturing. Job Summary The Staff Engineer Advanced Manufacturing Injection Molding will work collaboratively with Product Development and Manufacturing to yield innovative products and processes. This position plays a key role in the manufacturing process development and implementation and is responsible for supporting and delivering the Life Cycle Plan from concept to production at our various manufacturing plants. The role is focused on opportunities to influence design for assembly through development of integrated manufacturing systems, standardized processes and templates, risk assessment and mitigation, and after-action reviews. Job Responsibilities Leads innovation development and implementation of the latest Best-in-Class injection molding, automation, assembly, and packaging processes per best practices and standardized guidelines Lead design for manufacturing during product design and process development. Including mold filling simulation, cooling adequacy, warp analysis, automation, paint ability, assembly, and GD&T feedback Lead quotation activities by providing detailed Cost Estimates to include process flows, capital investments, plant layout, equipment, tooling, cycle times, planning and launch costs, and developing project schedules and budgets Lead Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) - Develop Process Flow, RISK/PFMEA, and Standard Work Instructions for molding, painting, assembly, and packaging processes Provide Manufacturing Engineering leadership to floor manufacturing engineers, and maintaining a broad knowledge of product design, manufacturing, and assembly processes Performs supplier technical assessments and implements supplier technical development plans Works independently, guidance on most complex.
