About the role
As a Business Development Representative (BDR) , you are the front-line of Fable’s growth efforts – researching and sourcing new leads within our target accounts, qualifying them through discovery, and moving them forward in our sales process. You are the trusted first point of contact with prospective customers to ensure they have a positive and informative experience from day one. This role reports to our Director of Demand Generation. You will be part of our dynamic Marketing team but work very closely with our Sales team.

Responsibilities
Conduct in-depth research and strategize creative ways to break into our target accounts and gain trust amongst key decision makers, influencers, and potential users
Develop an understanding of our target accounts’ business needs, challenges, and organization structure so you can personalize outreach
Nurture and build long-term relationships with prospects, share relevant content and resources, and pass them on to our Sales team when they are ready to engage in a sales conversation
Stay on top of intent signals for timely outreach and engagement
Conduct discovery calls with leads to qualify them and ensure they are the right fit for Fable
Stay up to date with product improvements and sales strategy so information can be effectively and accurately shared with prospects during discovery calls
Seamlessly hand off qualified leads to Account Executives
Share relevant information with prospects and Account Executives in a timely manner to ensure prospects have a positive experience with Fable
Work closely with the Marketing team to understand campaign goals, personas, and messaging to ensure discovery calls, emails, and other outreach strategies are relevant to prospective customers
Share on-going feedback with the Marketing team on what’s working and what’s not so we can continuously improve our campaigns
Key qualifications and assets
1+ years of experience as a BDR or in a related sales role
Comfortable with account-based marketing, B2B sales (specifically B2B software), especially prospecting, research, and qualification
Good understanding of the sales development process and multiple sales techniques
Excellent communication, research and organizational skills
Ability to actively listen and ask the right questions to understand customer needs
Coachable, with a desire to learn
Ability to work collaboratively and within a team
Strong work ethic, self-motivated and the ability to take initiative
You must be
Willing to learn about accessibility and inclusive design practices
Open to working in a fast-moving team
Willing to learn new tools and adapt quickly
Able to work within bounds of North American time zones, Eastern Time preferred
Curious and find creative ways to build relationships with key people across our target accounts
Nice to haves
Prior experience selling enterprise sales software is a plus
Experience with entrepreneurial and / or revenue generating projects

Pay range
$80,000 CAD - $90,000 CAD OTE (entry-level) range. $85,000 CAD to $100,000 CAD OTE (associate-level) range. - These are ranges and subject to change, depending on experience and role fit. Please take these as general ranges.
