The Headlines:

In the role of Finance Manager in Toronto , you will be part of the Brewery Finance team and be responsible for the monthly consolidation of financial results and forecasts for the Brewery, including, but not limited to delivering timely and transparent operational and financial reporting, and providing analytics, advice and recommendations to help leadership make informed decisions to reduce costs, enhance controls and achieve goals and plans.

This position reports to the Brewery Controller and manages the Accounting Analysts. It provides broad support spanning brewery and corporate stakeholders to include budgeting, planning, forecasting, reporting, and analytics. Focus areas span revenue/expense activity, federal excise tax reporting, fixed/variable budgeting, prompt and accurate vendor payments, timely and accurate payroll processing, and cost savings initiatives.

The Responsibilities:

  • Directs and manages the month-end consolidation of financial reporting and forecasting for the Brewery, ensuring the timeliness and completeness of work produced.

  • Directs the processing and control of all brewery controlled general ledger functions and monitors the timely processing of all items required to close the books.

  • Manages and directs the functions of the brewery accounting area in accordance with company and brewery policies, procedures, and generally accepted accounting principles.

  • Develops and grows direct reports by providing talent management leadership and strong capability development

  • Drive efficiencies in reporting and transactional work.

  • Oversee audit compliance activities --- preparation, execution, and closure.

The Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance or other relative 4-year degree; CPA preferred

  • 6 or more years of progressive Finance leadership experience; prior experience in corporate accounting/financial reporting preferred

  • Experience in Excel or spreadsheet execution (proficient with Microsoft products; SAP and BPC preferred

  • You are driven and comfortable with change.
