Position Scope:

Core-Mark is seeking a skilled Sales Analyst to join our dynamic sales team. As a Sales Analyst, you will play a crucial role in driving business growth by providing insightful analysis and strategic recommendations based on sales data. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to understand market trends, identify opportunities, and optimize sales strategies. Your expertise in data analysis and forecasting will be instrumental in supporting decision-making processes and maximizing revenue generation. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and possesses strong communication skills to effectively convey findings and recommendations to stakeholders at all levels.

Compensation: $65,000 – 70,000 base salary

Primary Responsibilities

  • Coordinate vendor promotions for the field sales team and help lead promotional execution, communication, and planning.

  • Create, design, and maintain ad-hoc reporting for OpCo Sales department.

  • Pulling data from multiple sources, you will be using statistical methods to analyze sales data, ensure data accuracy, generate findings, and report on those insights to team leaders across the OpCo.

  • Analyze and manage all sales data for the OpCo, as well as run reports, import and export data, and ensure accuracy across all data platforms.

  • Ensure data accuracy on all leads, accounts and orders in Salesforce, and provide suggestions to increase productivity and data accuracy in the platform.

  • Prepare key monthly, quarterly, and annual sales reporting, variance and trending analyses.

  • Review sales performance reports, identify and investigate variances.

  • Identify gaps to the plan by sales ledger and commodity.

  • Evaluates current processes and makes recommendations for future state and continuous improvement.

  • Provide light technical support and device management for new and existing sales associates.

  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

  • Ability to build share data repositories and maintain timely updates.

  • Ability to solve problems, take direction, multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced startup environment.

  • Ability to adapt quickly and work on new tasks independently.

  • Support Sales Initiatives (new customer onboarding and product launches).

  • Pricing support and customer agreement schedule management.

Required Qualifications:

1-3 years of relevant sales and/or financial analysis experience.

Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel with an ability to manipulate raw data through formulas, pivot tables, VLOOKUP’s, Macros, VBA, etc.

Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Word and Power Point, including mail merges and formatting.
