CiboVita R&D Specialist in TOTOWA, New Jersey

Analyze snack market trends, developing varieties of snack products with cost and nutritional guidelines. Commercialize snack productions to full-scale manufacturing, and ensure quality and regulatory compliance. Create and improve benchtop prototypes based on cross-functional team/customer input. Conduct scale-up activities in manufacturing facilities via trials and 1st Production runs, keeping manufacturing costs, nutritional guidelines, and overall quality at the forefront of development. Apply knowledge of food microbiology, food chemistry, and sensory evaluation in developing product formulations and conducting shelf-life studies. Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in food science or a related field and one (1) year of Food R&D-related experience. Experience in project management involving cross-functional team coordination. Proficiency with HACCP and shelf-life prediction. Proficiency with ESHA Genesis R&D Nutrition Labeling Software and Salesforce Specification Platform. Experience establishing a new food production process from conception to mass production, including machine sourcing. Knowledge of allergens/gluten free, GMO, organic and food regulations. Experience in standardizing developed formulas for manufacturing facilities. Experience optimizing cost and efficiency of existing formulas and processes.
