Paris Foods Corp Production Associate (I) in Trappe, Maryland

Summary:Production line associates clean, cut, inspect, package and label commodities from the raw stage through final product while maintaining a clean and contaminant free worksite. Applicable department/area of responsibility training to be completed and maintained.

Principal Job Responsibilities:

  • Serve the needs of customers and all stakeholders
  • Adhere to all Food Safety and GMP Policies
  • Performs Floor cleaning in raw or finished goods area using a squeegee, broom and shovel.
  • Performs sorting for any defects and foreign material in raw or finished goods area
  • Trimming stems and tops from produce
  • Place liners in cardboard totes
  • Label any necessary product accordingly
  • Follow GMP rules
  • Able to work in a hot, cold and wet environment.

``` - Stacker:Ensure proper stacking patterns for product and stack off neatly per requirements. - Check legibility of carton markings and stack cartons in appropriate configuration for carton size/weight and customer requirement. - Monitor the taper/inkjet belt for any carton flow interruption and correct as necessary or contact the supervisor.

``` - Floater:Actively fill in for all job requirements and fulfill duties as outlined below: - Break down all incoming packaging materials as they are used, i.e. totes, liners, corner posts, pallets and organize these components as appropriate to type and condition. - Inspect all totes and pallets for quality and segregate any reusable materials accordingly and ensure all bins, totes, pallets, etc. are properly labeled.

``` - Packer:Ensure that all cases contain the correct amount of product (line specific) as required by the order specifications: - Inspect the product while packing to ensure that the product is free of foreign material and is the proper item. - Ensure that the product is properly sealed and closed before it is sent to be palletized

``` - General Responsibilities: - Be observant of physical environment, forklift traffic and co-workers. - Immediately report workplace hazards / safety concerns to supervisor. - Immediately report QA product concerns to supervisor. - Immediately report any injuries to supervisor. - Be familiar with all safety functions of equipment in use prior to usage.

Physical Demands of the Position:

  • While performing the duties of this position, the employee must possess manual dexterity required for using hand tools and operating machinery; lift up to 50 pounds required; able to stand or walk for prolonged periods.

Work Environment:

  • While performing duties of this position, the employee will be exposed to wet and slippery floors, occasionally moving mechanical parts and vehicles. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud; variable temperatures of both heat and cold.

GMP Requirements: Follows all provisions of Paris Foods GMP, Food Safety and Food Defense procedures and processes. Takes ownership of their role in the companys GMP, Food Safety and Food Defense Programs by identifying and elevating any observations in violation of the policies.
