SCA TCLODGE LLC Housekeeping in Traverse City, Michigan

SCA TC LODGE LLC DBA TRAVELODGE is seeking five (5) Housekeeping personnel to work with them at 704 Munson Avenue, Traverse City, MI 49686; 360 & 417 Munson Avenue, Traverse City, MI 49686; 1870 & 2211 US-31 North Traverse City, MI 49686. The position will be full-time and seasonal during the dates of April 1, 2025 -- November 1, 2025.

The Housekeeper is responsible for keeping storage areas and carts well-stocked, clean, and tidy. Carrying linens, towels, toilet items, and cleaning supplies, using wheeled carts. Load linen and towels into and remove from washing machine, load linen and towels into and remove from Dryers, cleaning rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, elevators, stairways, breakfast areas, pool area and other work areas so that health standards are met. Emptying wastebaskets, and transport other trash and waste to disposal areas. Sweeping floors, using brooms, mops. Replenishing supplies, such as drinking glasses, linens, writing supplies, and bathroom items. Vacuuming rugs, carpets, and dusting furniture. Sanitizing equipment and supplies. Observing necessary precautions required to protect guest property and report damage, theft, and found articles to supervisors. Sorting, counting, and marking clean linens and store them in linen closets. Washing dishes and cleaning kitchens, cooking utensils, and silverware. Must greet guests that you encounter during your shift with a friendly smile. This job requires continuous movement, regularly bending, lifting, pushing. Must be flexible, communicate effectively, speak and understand English, be a team player.

Employees will work Mon-Sun, an average of 40 hrs/wk. Must be able to work any 8 hr shift within the hours of 9:00 am to 6:00 pm any day of the week. Days off rotate, shifts vary, weekends are required. No minimum education is required.

On-the-job training is provided. SCA TC LODGE LLC DBA TRAVELODGE will provide workers with all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the job at no charge. No daily transportation will be provided to and from the worksite.

The wage is $16.11 per hour. All deductions will be made from paychecks that are required by law. No other deductions will be made unless voluntarily agreed to by the employee. Overtime is available at a rate of $24.17 per hour. Wages will be paid bi-weekly on Friday, and the employer will use a single workweek as its standard for computing wages due.

The employer will reimburse the H-2B worker in the first workweek for all visa, visa processing, border crossing, and other related fees, including those mandated by the government, incurred by the H-2B worker. If the worker completes 50% of the work contract period, the employer will reimburse the worker for transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work. Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, employer will provide or pay for worker's reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distance involved. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of $15.88 per day during travel to a maximum of $59.00 per day with receipts.

Shared housing is available at 1870 US-31 North, Traverse City, MI 49686 at a cost of $75.00 per week per worker. If a worker rents housing from the employer, deductions will be taken from the employee pay if agreed upon. This is optional and is not a condition of employment. Alternatively, the employer will assist workers to find suitable housing within walking distance of the worksite.
