Robert Half Accounts Receivable Clerk in Troy, Michigan
Description
We are seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team in TROY, Michigan. This role is essential within our finance team, primarily focusing on accounts receivable duties and providing support with month-end responsibilities and special projects. Construction or General Contractor experience is highly preferred.
Responsibilities:
• Generate invoices and send bills to customers, ensuring the efficient processing of payments through various methods.
• Maintain accurate customer balances by diligently tracking and recording all invoices, payments, and charges.
• Contribute to the development of internal controls and policies to facilitate financial efficiency and compliance.
• Professionally and promptly communicate with clients regarding billing inquiries and payments.
• Collaborate with relevant parties to resolve customer issues and address delinquent payments.
• Conduct weekly meetings with operations to obtain status updates on client billings.
• Perform weekly aging reviews and report findings to the controller.
• Identify and implement opportunities for process improvement within the company.
• Ensure compliance with accounting principles and internal controls, maintaining proper documentation.
• Prepare month-end analysis for Balance Sheet items.
• Assist with month-end tasks such as reconciliations and financial reporting.
• Provide backup support within the finance team.
Requirements
• Proficiency in Account Reconciliation
• Experience with Accounts Receivable (AR) management
• Familiarity with Billing procedures
• Ability to handle Cash Applications
• Experience with Cash Collections
• Knowledge of Commercial Collections
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Familiarity with QuickBooks software
