Henry Ford Health System Director Product & Service Management - Populance in Troy, Michigan

Join our Populance team as the Director Product & Service Management, where you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of population health programs. Populance is a start-up organization established in 2023 providing industry-leading Care Management, Utilization Management and Population Health Analytics and Insights services. This start-up organization, being established with HFH/HAP, will serve both internal and external provider organizations to help them succeed and thrive in value-based payment models and population health programs. HFH is located in Detroit, MI. This individual can work REMOTELY and travel as needed to Detroit for important meetings (less than 20% travel).

ile project management methodologies to bring transformative solutions to deliver value. They will play a crucial role in gathering the voice of the customer, translating insights into actionable strategies, and guiding cross-functional teams from ideation to implementation and assessment.

PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Implement and champion lean product development principles to streamline processes, reduce waste, and accelerate time-to-market for innovative healthcare solutions.

  • Lead agile project management practices to facilitate rapid iteration, adaptability, and collaboration across multidisciplinary teams.

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive product roadmaps that prioritize features and enhancements based on market dynamics, customer feedback, and strategic objectives.

  • Work closely with operations, design, IT, business development, and clinical teams to align priorities, resources, and timelines for successful product launches and ongoing optimization.

  • Collaborate with clinical and executive leadership to define the product and service development strategy aligned with the organization's mission and market opportunities.

  • Establish mechanisms for capturing, synthesizing, and integrating the voice of the customer into the product development process to ensure solutions meet user needs and preferences.

  • Foster a culture of creativity and innovation, guiding teams in generating and evaluating new product and service ideas through design thinking and other methodologies.

  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to track the effectiveness and impact of healthcare services, conducting regular assessments and making data-driven recommendations for improvement.

  • Ensure that all product and service developments comply with relevant healthcare regulations, standards, and best practices.

  • Stay abreast of emerging trends, technologies, and industry developments in healthcare innovation, contributing insights and thought leadership to advance the organization's competitive position.

  • Liaison between customer and Populance teams to ensure we are delivering value to customers.

    EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business, engineering, or related field; advanced degree preferred.

  • Proven track record of at least seven (7) years in product management, strategy, operations or development roles within the healthcare industry, with a focus on digital health solutions preferred.

  • Experience implementing lean product development processes and agile project management methodologies in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.

  • Strong understanding of healthcare delivery models, reimbursement systems, and regulatory requirements, particularly in the context of at-home care and remote monitoring.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize complex data and insights into actionable strategies.

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities, including the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve ambitious goals and drive innovation.

  • Comfortable working in a dynamic, rapidly evolving startup or entrepreneurial environment, with a passion for making a positive impact on healthcare outcomes.

    CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES PREFERRED:

  • Agile certification preferred (ex. Scrum Alliance, SAFE, PMI-ACP)

  • Case Management Certification (CCM) preferred
