Robert Half Accounts Payable Clerk in Tualatin, Oregon
Description
We're actively working with a Tualatin based client who is looking for an Accounts Payable Clerk to join their team. This role involves performing financial and accounting duties, including processing accounts payable, managing vendor invoices, and assisting with year-end audits. The role offers a short term contract employment opportunity.
Responsibilities:
• Manage ACH payments to ensure timely and accurate processing.
• Handle accounts payable processing, ensuring all financial transactions are correctly recorded.
• Review and process vendor invoices, including some recurring invoices according to a set schedule.
• Administer employee expense reimbursements on a monthly basis.
• Conduct check runs once a week, ensuring all payments are correctly disbursed.
• Participate in year-end audits, providing necessary documentation and information.
• Perform account reconciliation to maintain accurate financial records.
• Use Microsoft Excel for data entry and other tasks as needed.
• Handle invoice processing and coding invoices to ensure correct allocation of costs.
Requirements
• 1-2+ years of experience in accounts payable (AP)
• Experience with check runs and coding invoices
• Strong data entry and invoice processing skills
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize work to meet deadlines
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
