POSITION SUMMARY:

Under the direct supervision of the Program Director, works to develop marketing strategies to increase program visibility, outreach and recruit of employer partners throughout the county area. This position works directly with the Youth Navigator (Case Manager) and others throughout the county in the development of continued program support and grant related opportunities, which incorporate community service events and job development to meet program operation requirements. Sets up employer engagement activities, industry tours, college tours, and other job-related activities. Maintains program records and documents daily all student coordination and scheduling to ensure all program objectives are met as projects and employment opportunities are developed. Communicates daily with the Youth Navigator on all student activities, provides career exploration and other employment related information

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Develops employment marketing strategies to increase program visibility and services offered to the community and employment partners in the development of jobs for YouthBuild Student.

Work with NFJP Regional Coordinator to develop marketing strategies using various media such as television, radio and print advertising, to outreach and recruit potential participants for program enrollment into Youth and Adult programs.

Establishes relationships with community agencies, organizations, and industry employers for training and job placement opportunities.

Creates community awareness of PPEP, Inc. and the YouthBuild program by attending community meetings

Regular travel throughout the county to meet with Industry officials and Employers and others in the development of a comprehensive network to benefit those served by the program.

Develop and deliver presentations about the YouthBuild program and PPEP services.

Learn the culture of the program and solicit staff suggestions by attending staff meetings and brainstorming

Attend different job fairs to assist in outreach and recruitment of employers and development employment partnerships.

Assist Youth participants in learning about potential careers and employment opportunities within the Communities in Yuma County and other areas if needed.

Follows up on all contacts and leads to stay focused on current trends, partnerships and employment opportunities.

Knows eligibility guidelines for the different programs and components available, to outreach and recruit effectively answer questions and develop leveraging opportunities.

Contacts local One Stops and Coordinates with One Stop Career Centers, DES Job Services and other related service providers to help the process of cross referral and co-enrollment goals for employment.

Meet with community leaders in the development of training programs and opportunities to participate in service events that will help to promote participants in the program and showcase their skills.

Other responsibilities as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Degree in Marketing or Sales

2 years experience in marketing, sales, recruitment or related field

Computer skills Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet

Bi-lingual Spanish/English

Valid Arizona drivers license and clearance/approval from corporate auto insurer.

Ability to work a flexible schedule and travel overnight

OR

Any combination of academic education, professional training or work experience, which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Degree in Marketing and Sales

Four (4) years prior work experience in job and Market development, outreach & recruitment, advertisement or related work.

Bilingual (English/Spanish).

PHYSICAL REQUIREM NTS:

Must be able to see/read a computer monitor screen.

Must be able to lift and carry ten (10) pounds.

Must be able to drive a car and travel as required.
