This position serves as the Raytheon Manufacturing Operations Staff Executive and Tucson site coordinator, reporting to the Raytheon Vice President of Manufacturing Operations and interfacing with all functions and strategic business units across Raytheon. The Staff Executive serves as a facilitator to the extended Manufacturing Operations leadership team and an informal communication conduit, when required and/or requested, between the Vice President of Manufacturing Operations and other members of the functional leadership team and business.

As a member of the Manufacturing Operations leadership team you will work closely with the Manufacturing Operations Executive Directors and functional leads with the management of: key strategic projects, day-to-day tactical and operational requirements and Manufacturing Operations branding and execution. Your role requires the utmost discretion and safeguarding of sensitive personnel, business, and propriety information. Ideal candidate will be a creative, innovative troubleshooter possessing very strong organization, coordination, planning, analytical, teaming, cooperation and problem-solving skills.

Additionally, this role will serve as a site coordinator to support the Tucson Site Executive in location specific initiatives, achievement of site goals, creation and communication of site standards and values and site plans. In this capacity, the individual will be responsible for implementation and support of the site Business resilience and Crisis Management elements as it relates to site initiatives, for example annual sustainability goals, office of the future and other site safety, security and environmental priorities.

This role will be developmental for an individual who strives for long term growth and the successful candidate will serve in a rotating capacity with a typical assignment lasting 18 to 24 months.

What You Will Do

  • Alignment of the Manufacturing Operations organization including leadership team collaboration activities, tasking, and execution reviews

  • Develop and execute the Manufacturing Operations Management Operating System and communication cadence.

  • Facilitate CORE goal alignment process steps throughout the year.

  • Solicit and gather information/data from multiple sources and synthesize into concise executive level briefings by collaborating with multiple stakeholders.

  • Understand and prioritize requests and actions based on critical business needs.

  • Act independently, and anticipate the needs of the Vice President, functional leaders, and geographically dispersed employees.

  • Project Management, coordination of events and site visits

  • Effectively work multiple projects simultaneously interacting with and relating to diverse groups and internal and external customers

  • Develop, maintain or improve company-wide support networks to facilitate and leverage the broad resources available within Raytheon to accomplish assigned projects and tasks.

  • Travel to offsite locations on an as needed basis.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires a university degree or equivalent experience and 8 years’ experience of programs / projects management and /or a technical lead in any technical discipline (engineering, operations, security, functional or mission areas... etc.) or an advanced degree and 5 years’ experience.

  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Prefer 10+ functional and/or product line experience with the capability to operate in an unstructured (minimal guidance) environment.

  • Past experience preparing materials involving strategies, briefings, documentation and/or messaging conveyed across multiple stakeholders (for example: customers, employees in multiple disciplines, and senior executives)

  • Commitment to work seamlessly with the Raytheon Manufacturing Operations leadership team and at all levels of the organization.

  • Building trusted partnerships to obtain key or underlying information needed to support tactical or strategic decisions.

  • Experience applying high situational awareness, patience, diplomatic skills, and the ability to produce under stressful conditions, including demanding customers and schedules.

  • Demonstrated experience of taking initiative and exercising reliable business judgment and accountability

  • Demonstrated ability to influence large cross-functional groups with a focus on fostering team building and mentorship.

  • Must be proactive, influential, conscientious and collaborative.

  • Process and detail-oriented, timely and responsive, and have the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced business environment.

  • Broad understanding of company structure and established network within Raytheon & RTX

  • Work experience using MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

The salary range for this role is 96,000 USD - 200,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
