Avera is currently seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) – Coordinator looking to deliver the best possible nursing care in Avera’s patient-focused settings.

    Job Summary

  • The RN Coordinator assumes responsibility and accountability for nursing services delivered to all residents of each neighborhood.

  • Provides direct care associated with acute illness [assesses and completes follow-up dependent on assessment findings] and wound management [assessment and care of more substantial skin issues].

  • Prepares appointment and clinic visit information and assists with or completes physician’s rounds as determined by DON.

  • Administers treatments and medications on a limited as needed basis and supervises direct care staff.

  • Assesses and documents on “Medicare A” Residents during the day shift, assists with scheduling and monitors neighborhoods for adequate staffing and support in care areas with extra focus on dining areas during the weekend.

  • Makes decisions about the resident care needs during their shift within scope of clinical competence, consistent with the facility policies and procedures.

    Education and/or Experience

  • Graduate of accredited school of nursing.

  • Preferred one-year experience providing direct care to residents in long-term care setting.

    Licensure/Certification/Registration

  • Current, active license as Registered Nurse in Minnesota.

    Work Schedule

  • Hours: Day Shift, 8:00am-4:00pm, 6:00am-6:00pm; 80 hours every 2 weeks

  • Every third weekend

  • Every third holiday
