Eastern Connecticut Transportation Consortium, Inc Part-time Driver (15-24 hours) in Uncasville, Connecticut
- High School Graduate or equivalent.
- Valid Connecticut driver license with Connecticut Public Passenger Transportation Permit, F Endorsement
- Satisfactory Driving record acceptable by our insurance company.
- Must pass physical examination and drug screen and criminal check.
- Must be insurable through the company carrier and maintain an up- to-date medical card.
- Ability to lift, push/pull fifty an individual using a mobility aid and secure in place on the vehicle.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Operate vehicles in a safe and responsible manner while complying with all state and local traffic regulations using a tablet.
- Pickup and drop off assigned individuals according to predetermined routes.
- Report any problems with routing, scheduling or passengers in a prompt manner.
- Report any problems with vehicle operation including, mechanical and safety
- Complete daily pre-trip inspection to ensure vehicle has all safety equipment is in operating order.
- Ensure that the vehicle is kept clean (inside and out) on an as needed basis.
- Become familiar with and follow ECTC procedures for reporting emergencies and vehicle accidents.
- Other duties as assigned.
