TECHNICAL SALES ENGINEER AUTOMOTIVE
Arrow Global Components is looking for a Technical Sales Engineer. The position is based in the North of the UK and can be a fully remote job.
The role is sales and engineering focused and target driven. You will be responsible for securing new business and maintaining an excellent level of customer service to current customers. The individual will be required to plan strategies and develop all key relationships to ensure a strong foundation for solution selling. Maintaining and promoting relationships with customer contacts who will be determining design opportunities and dealing with existing business challenges.
What will you be doing at Arrow GC?
You will be responsible for taking ownership of assigned accounts
Developing relationships and being able to negotiate at all levels within the customer
Being visible on sight - frequent customer visits
Developing the business on assigned accounts to:
Maximize Arrows share
Maximize overall profitability
Maximise Arrow design in profile and technical sales
Managing all resources to grow the business with Field Application Engineers, Field Marketing, Asset, Business Process Excellence (BPE), customers & suppliers
Providing Customer satisfaction
Commercial :
Keep an up-to-date account profile
Through fact-based analysis and in-depth customer knowledge work out account strategies and plans based on greatest opportunities for growth
Pro-actively promote Arrow's top suppliers
Prioritise time on the largest growth opportunities within the account base
Communicate proactively and use all available resources to maximize the return and to ensure smooth operations in regard to speed, accuracy and cost effectiveness
Have a clear understanding of competition activity in the account base
Demand creation :
Drive agreed supplier initiatives and maximised Arrow design in content and technical services
Have a clear record of what development projects each customer has and what stage they are at
Co-ordinate both manufacturer support and Arrow FAE support appropriately to maximise new design opportunity for Arrow
Increase level of engagement in the account base through Arrow technical services
Supply chain :
Have a clear understanding of Arrow's supply chain solutions
Manage an appropriate level of stock through buffer, forecast, backlog that is line with customers turnover and Arrow's stock turn expectation and at the same time ensure supply continuity for the customer
Have a clear understanding of customer priorities - stock turns, stock availability and be able to recommend supply chain solutions that will support customer objectives
What are we looking for?
You have strong selling skills and ability to influence at all levels within external customers
Industry knowledge; Preferably previous experience working in distribution or OEM
Technical selling skillset.
Customer-orientation and sympathy
Prospecting and presentation skills
Energy, creativity and focus
Analytical and planning skills
Fluency in English.
