Job Title: MIG Welder

Job Description

Seeking skilled MIG Welders to join our dynamic team across various shifts. Responsibilities include MIG welding on mild carbon steel (7-14 gauge, mainly 12 gauge) in horizontal, vertical, and circular positions, using grinders and other hand tools, occasionally reading blueprints, and transporting materials using a hand cart. Candidates must be able to complete projects within a target time ranging from 30 minutes to 5 hours, lift up to 75 lbs, and operate a hydraulic welding table. The role involves 90% MIG Welding and 10% material transportation and hand tool usage.

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in University Park, Illinois.

Work Environment

The role involves working in a heavy industrial environment with 40 welding booths, fabrication machinery, conveyors, and forklifts. The environment is not well-lit and can be dirty. Candidates will work independently in their own welding booth but will interact with team leads/supervisors throughout the day. Protective equipment such as steel toe boots, eye protection, hoods, gloves, and sleeves are required and provided. The facility operates on a non-union basis, and a significant portion of the workforce is Spanish-speaking.
