JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

The Center for Healthy Aging in the College of Health and Human Development at Penn State, University Park, PA, seeks a proactive, detail-oriented, and collaborative individual to join our team as a Human Research Technologist . This position will support several NIH-funded research projects and will be responsible for working with an interdisciplinary team of data scientists, faculty, staff, and administrators.

Specific responsibilities may include:

  • Process expense and travel reports.

  • Manage participant compensation.

  • Manage lab inventory and purchase requests.

  • Coordinate recruitment, screening, and ongoing study-related calls.

  • Organize and monitor data collection by printing and assembling study materials, coordinating shipments to study participants, and tracking participant data.

  • Draft protocols, abstracts, and consent forms; complete and submit Institutional Review Board paperwork and modifications; enter and analyze data supporting scientific papers; develop and analyze research materials.

Education and Experience:

This position will be filled at a Professional or Intermediate Professional level, depending on the candidate’s experience and education. Typically requires an Associate Degree or higher, a Bachelor's Degree preferred, plus one year of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience for a Professional. Additional education and/or experience are required for higher-level positions. Additional education and experience required for higher level.

Familiarity with Microsoft Office, SAP Concur, and SIMBA is preferred but not required.

Additional Information:

This is a limited-term staff position, funded for one year from the date of hire, with an excellent possibility for renewal.

This position will require the successful completion of standard background checks.

The pay range for this position, including all possible grades is:

$38,300.00 - $61,000.00
