Process Engineer II - Days

Monday - Friday TBD 7:00am - 5:00pm

The annual salary for this position is $74,800 to $116,900.

Sign On Bonus - $2,000

This highly visible position is located at our Vancouver, WA Facility.

What you’ll do:

Under general supervision, this position is responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, productivity, and quality. The Process Engineer will analyze production data, identify areas for improvement, and develop solutions to enhance processes.

Essential Functions:

  • Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), company policies, safety policies and practices, quality standards, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).

  • Responsible at all times for ensuring that tasks are performed according to food safety, quality, and regulatory guidelines.

  • Works with operations to design, improve and implement manufacturing processes to ensure a cost-effective and efficient production process of new and current products, as well as prepare detailed specifications and production plans; deliver quality product to production; including a repeatability and efficiency that meets manufacturing requirements.

  • Works with equipment designers, maintenance, validation teams and production personnel to understand equipment capabilities and validation requirements necessary to design and implement manufacturing processes for new product development, current product improvements and process changes.

  • Collaborates with management, engineering, operations, quality and other staff regarding continuous improvement goals and objectives.

  • Participates in decisions regarding equipment improvements and changes to improve the overall efficiency of production processes and quality of products.

  • Provides input on improvements to standard operating procedures and develops SOPs and work instructions for production processes as needed.

  • Leads or participates in projects related to process improvement, new product introductions, capacity expansion, or cost reduction initiatives.

  • Understands and assists as needed with DQ/IQ/OQ/PQ for all equipment based on the Master Validation Plan.

  • Ensures all quality and food safety practices are followed at all times.

  • Assesses impact and risk assessment for all areas of production.

  • Generates reports and presents data to all stakeholders.

  • Performs other related duties as required.

What you’ll need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Mathematics, Science or related field, and 5+ years directly related experience.

  • Scientific knowledge, experience and appropriate data analysis skills directly related to manufacturing operations and dietary supplements.

  • Knowledge and understanding of FDA 21 CFR Part 111.

  • Excellent understanding of manufacturing environments.

  • Safety focused.

  • Strong analytical, problem solving skills and common sense.

  • Ability to partner with key stakeholders in the supply chain.

  • Ability to anticipate and detect problems and report information to appropriate personnel.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word.

  • Ability to wear appropriate personal protective equipment and clean room attire when applicable; work in a standard office setting and to use standard office equipment; maintain attention to detail despite interruptions; lift and carry up to 25 pounds; and perform work onsite in a typical interior/office environment or a light industrial environment, including some exposure to non-toxic dust with no or very limited exposure to physical risk.
