From how experiences including AI will transform printing to how services will enable access to printing for many, our Home Print Business Unit is seeking an experienced leader to drive our portfolio evolution and develop our team of highly dedicated product managers to be future ready.

Product Management operates at the intersection of customer needs, business requirements, and technical feasibility. As the Senior Manager of Hardware Product Management, you will be charged with setting a strong strategic vision and driving the portfolio for a wide-ranging set of solutions and platform elements in Home printing space. By owning the customer and holding accountability for the business impact of the full customer offering, you will have direct hardware product management reports and work the seams with our solutions and services product management teams to round out your offerings with experiences and business models.

You will lead efforts to drive print products to market including market development, genesis of product concepts and roadmaps, product requirements, contributing to business plans, market positioning, sales readiness, and iterative product test & launch. This role also requires you to think creatively and collaboratively, building strategic alignment across the organization and across functional organizations including engineering, design, services organization, and sales/technical consultants. You will lead the team to break down the complex and evolving home printing market and set of offerings into a simple, actionable, prioritized frame that builds on our core strengths. You'll lead and mentor product managers to help them drive their platform assets and solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Define the Home hardware roadmap including core print capabilities, customer experience, and solutions.

  • Define portfolio line logic, positioning and portfolio rationale​ with a strong Value Proposition

  • Rebalance portfolio and transition business model to subscription and service

  • Be responsible for building and executing the roadmap in collaboration with software and services teams to enable growth across the portfolio.

  • Own and manage the product roadmap inclusive of the backlog through constant prioritization.

  • Integrate usability studies, research, and market analysis into product requirements to enhance user satisfaction and adoption.

  • Define and analyze metrics that inform the success of products and services.

  • Responsible for life cycle management of the product lines from development, launch, refresh to obsolescence. This includes:

  • Branding and Naming Strategy ​

  • Pricing strategy ​

  • Financial Impact​

  • Monitors market trends, analyses competitors' offerings, and solicits input from customers, partners, sales teams for product planning and design.

  • Coordinates creation of training materials and regularly evangelizes key value propositions both internally and externally.

  • Ensures that the marketing strategies and initiatives within area of accountability are integrated with corporate and business strategies.

  • Responsible for leading an organization of product and portfolio management individual contributors by setting overall initiatives, objectives, and providing coaching and career development.

  • Developing team talent and continuously improving teamwork excellence and enabling a 'growth mindset' environment

Education and Experience Required:

  • University degree with a focus in Computer Science, Marketing, Business, or Engineering; MBA strongly preferred.

  • Typically 10+ years of experience in HW/SW product management or exhibiting an exceptionally strong background in some other relevant and applicable area of business.

  • Typically 3+ years of people management experience.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Superior ability to provide product management and marketing consultation to individual contributors.

  • Passion for customer experience and being an advocate for ease of use, quality, and reliability.

  • Experience translating device/hardware requirements into software product requirements.

  • Experience with interconnected devices and cloud technologies including software capabilities such as telemetry, data, and security.

  • Superior understanding of product design and current product management.

  • In-depth experience working with selling partners, R&D, customers, and technology partners.

  • Excellent project management and prioritization skills.

  • Excellent people management skills, including managing teams across geographies.

  • Ability to build partnerships across functions and execute in matrixed environments.

  • Excellent communication skills catered to a wide variety of audiences. Strong executive presence is a must.

  • Strong leadership and staff development skills.

  • Excellent consulting, influence and negotiation skills.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is $137,000 -- $200,000 annually with additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
