Position Summary

As a Purchasing, Material Supply, for Energizer’s Global Auto Care division, you will be responsible for driving the purchase of materials needed to support Finished Goods production. You will create and manage all material purchase orders for the materials areas assigned to you. You will work closely with the Analyst, Supply Planning, to ensure the right materials are available at the right time to meet production requirements. This position will be responsible for weekly vendor meetings and will work under the direction of the Manager of Product and Material Supply. This position builds relationships with the Procurement team and works with that team when we have vendor concerns.

Responsibilities

  • Review SAP MRP supply-demand requirements and make decisions on replenishment quantities and timing that optimizing inventory position (i.e. working capital) while maximizing fill-rates.

  • The incumbent will would be responsible for 2-4 raw material families (approx. 10 total families) with an inventory average of $5-10M under their scope of responsibility.

  • Establish and manage relationship with suppliers to coordinate production timing and shipment deliveries; track all materials to ensure timely delivery to meet operationally requirements.

  • Work closely with the Analysts, Supply Planning to ensure supply and work to resolve any gaps in the production plan.

  • Maintain positive, professional working relationships with all suppliers while holding them accountable.

  • Identify and expedite materials to account for changes in plan to ensure high customer service levels.

  • Manage inventory levels for assigned product families to ensure high turnover performance.

  • Manage slow moving and obsolete materials (SLOB’s) and proactively manage to reduce inventory.

  • Review all item MRP Master Data settings and work with the Master Data group to ensure accurate settings.

  • Review shortage and late PO reports to ensure on time delivery of materials

  • Provide feedback to Procurement on supplier / vendor performance.

  • Coordinate with internal departments on new item introductions, items transitions and item close outs.

What we are looking for

Required:

  • BS/BA (4-year undergraduate) degree or 3-5 years of experience

  • At least 1-3 years of supply chain experience with an emphasis on purchasing

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and technical skills

  • ERP/MRP experience required

  • Advanced Excel skills

  • Must demonstrate an understanding of the supply chain from: plan, source, make, and deliver. Focus on capacity and material planning.

  • The ability to clearly and concisely communicate with internal and external partners.

  • Strong persuasive skills in managing key suppliers and the ability to develop partnerships to drive cost savings.

  • Team player, strong initiative, and ability to multi-task/manage multiple priorities.

  • Previous experience with CPG, or seasonal businesses is preferred.

  • SAP MM & PP, materials planning, SAP master data background.

Total Rewards Package

The salary range for this position is USD $57,000.00/Yr. - USD $72,000.00/Yr.

Actual base salary offered to a candidate may vary based upon factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location.

Bonus: This position is bonus eligible.
