LEAD LINE COOK JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY:

Responsible for the preparation of all foods during an assigned shift, in accordance with company specifications and standards.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

• Provide excellent guest service to both internal and external guests.

• Actively supports the company culture of creating a fun and entertaining experience for internal and external guests.

• Assists in the supervision of all line production staff ensuring compliance with Company specs and standards.

• Responsible for preparing, seasoning, finishing, and garnishing all food in kitchen preparation in accordance with established recipes.

• Performs as a team member with Cooks, Dishwashers, Supervisors, Chefs, Servers, Utilities, and pertinent Company Associates in producing a smoothly and efficiently run operation on a scheduled shift.

• Follows all recipes and control procedures.

• Assists in all areas of food production as needed as well as planning menus.

• Responsible for maintaining a clean and sanitary area at all times in full accordance with State Health Regulations.

• All other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Directly supervises line cooks on a daily basis. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training associates, planning, assigning, and directing work, addressing complaints and resolving problems.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

High School diploma or GED and one to two years’ experience as a cook’s apprentice in a large, full-service hotel or restaurant preferred.
