If providing hope and healing through compassionate, innovative, and individualized care interest you, we welcome your application for the position below.The FMLA Leave Coordinator will oversee and administer leave requests and accommodations requiring specialize attention, particularly those arising under the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), state and local leave laws. Essential Job FunctionsCommunicates with employees regarding their needs for leave and/or modified work schedules. Ensures that employees are aware of their responsibilities and of any documentation and notice required to qualify for and to take leave.and#149; Handles the FMLA leave administration process from the employeeand#146;s initial notice of the need for leave to the return to work. This includes gathering and completing all required paperwork, determining leave eligibility, designating leave as FMLA-qualifying, requesting medical certification as needed and accounting for intermittent and reduced schedule leave use.and#149; Maintains reasonable communication with employees on leave to facilitate smooth and timely return to work, relays communication between employees and their managers during leave within reason.and#149; Oversee the return-to-work process for employees returning from extended FMLA, while working with the Risk Management Specialist.Maintains complete and accurate records of leave in accordance with specified legal requirement and documentation of best practices.Preserves confidentially of employee medical documentation and files.Maintains knowledge of all applicable leave and accommodation laws including the FMLA, state and local laws.Perform other related duties as assigned.Registrations, Licensure Requirements or CertificationsMust have the appropriate license (Class C) for the type of vehicle being driven as required by Texas Civil Statutes. Knowledge Skills AbilitiesKnowledge of office procedures and basic clerical duties.Ability to organize information both orally and in writing.Ability to construct and/or utilize and/or evaluate various databases effectively.Ability to communicate articulately and tactfully orally and in writing.Ability to prioritize and manage tasks independently.Ability to effectively use automated office systems, equipment, and basic computer software.Ability to work computer programs.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.Initial Screening CriteriaGraduation from a standard senior high school or equivalent2 years office experience in the use of automated office systems this should include in Microsoft Office, excel or similar software.Additional InformationApplicants must pass a fingerprint criminal background check, pre-employment drug screen, and registry checks including the Client Abuse/Neglect Reporting System (CANRS), Nurse Aid, Medication Aide and Employee Misconduct, and HHS OIG list of Excluded Individuals/Entities.
