Job Description
About the role:
As Associate Director of QC Lab Control, you will manage a complex area responsible for GMP-compliant testing of our intermediates and finished products. You will be the first point of contact for 7 direct reports with a total of 100 employees and will report to the Director of Quality Control.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, business-oriented as well as data and results-driven leader to drive the transformation towards a highly automated and digitalized department.
How you will contribute:
Provide strategic direction, relevant guidelines and leadership to the QC Lab Control team, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives.
Develop and implement innovative strategies to support future strategies and change management.
People Management including Team development, performance conversations and work safety.
Utilization of the AOS (QC AGILE Operating Systems - e.g. Tier, 5S, Standard Work, Performance Management, Kaizen etc.)
Drive continuous improvement and optimization of the processes, in cooperation with QC, QA, MSV, including internal as well as external initiatives.
Interaction with site quality functions and other departments (EHS, HR, IT, MSV, Finance, Engineering, Procurement, Tech Services, Supply Chain)
Responsible for the cost center expenses and budget planning (CAPEX, OPEX, adjustments, resource planning, staffing & management)
Promoting a culture of diversity, equality, and inclusion
What you bring to Takeda:
University degree in natural or technical sciences or a related discipline.
At least 5 years of experience in pharmaceutical industry with extensive expertise of Quality Control or/and Quality Assurance operations.
Proven experience in Lean Lab tools and excellent knowledge of cGMP/GLP and Quality requirements.
Extensive experience in Project-, Change- and People Management with excellent problem-solving skills.
Entrepreneurial thinking and at least basic knowledge of business administration.
Strong communication skills.
Fluent in English (C1) and German would be an advantage.
