About the role:

As Associate Director of QC Lab Control, you will manage a complex area responsible for GMP-compliant testing of our intermediates and finished products. You will be the first point of contact for 7 direct reports with a total of 100 employees and will report to the Director of Quality Control.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, business-oriented as well as data and results-driven leader to drive the transformation towards a highly automated and digitalized department.

How you will contribute:

  • Provide strategic direction, relevant guidelines and leadership to the QC Lab Control team, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives.

  • Develop and implement innovative strategies to support future strategies and change management.

  • People Management including Team development, performance conversations and work safety.

  • Utilization of the AOS (QC AGILE Operating Systems - e.g. Tier, 5S, Standard Work, Performance Management, Kaizen etc.)

  • Drive continuous improvement and optimization of the processes, in cooperation with QC, QA, MSV, including internal as well as external initiatives.

  • Interaction with site quality functions and other departments (EHS, HR, IT, MSV, Finance, Engineering, Procurement, Tech Services, Supply Chain)

  • Responsible for the cost center expenses and budget planning (CAPEX, OPEX, adjustments, resource planning, staffing & management)

  • Promoting a culture of diversity, equality, and inclusion

What you bring to Takeda:

  • University degree in natural or technical sciences or a related discipline.

  • At least 5 years of experience in pharmaceutical industry with extensive expertise of Quality Control or/and Quality Assurance operations.

  • Proven experience in Lean Lab tools and excellent knowledge of cGMP/GLP and Quality requirements.

  • Extensive experience in Project-, Change- and People Management with excellent problem-solving skills.

  • Entrepreneurial thinking and at least basic knowledge of business administration.

  • Strong communication skills.

  • Fluent in English (C1) and German would be an advantage.
