PRIMARY PURPOSE:

Responsible for providing leadership and guidance to a group of branches in all sales, operations, administration, audit compliance and service components. Responsible for goal achievement for sales of bank and investment products, the attainment of fee income goals and non-interest expense containment objectives. Oversees and directs the budget process for the group of branches. Serves as Vision, Sales and Operations liaison to the Director of Retail, including Vision training initiatives, new product offerings, updates to Policy and Procedure manual and customer experience program. Directly responsible for improving cross selling ratio's, individual development plans (IDP) for all staff members and the overall profitability of each designated branch.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Monitors the ongoing sales behaviors of subordinate branch managers, personal bankers, customer service representatives as well as referral activities for the branch teams.

  2. Participates in outside business development calls with managers and partner group members.

  3. Ensures that all internal sales, service, operations/administration and audit objectives are met.

  4. Attends branch staff meetings to promote sales, service, operations/administration, teamwork and corporate vision.

  5. Identifies and coordinates training opportunities for branch staff members.

  6. Manages the data flow to and from the branch network and partner groups.

  7. Supports the budget and planning process by directing the preparation, rollout and administration of the Retail branch budget and business plan.

  8. Consults with the Director of Retail on all recommended personnel related matters, including hiring, terminations, updating job descriptions, performance evaluations and disciplinary actions.

  9. Visits regularly with branch managers for coaching and mentoring opportunities.

  10. Provides direction to branch managers regarding goal achievement, sales opportunities and individual development plans.

  11. Shares corporate sales culture with direct reports and partner groups supporting the branch network.

  12. Acts as role model in the community by interacting with centers of influence, non-profit organizations and business leaders.

  13. Conducts weekly sales meetings/conference calls with direct reports to share best practices, sales and mystery shop results.

  14. Performs routine branch audits as part of collaborative effort with Retail Branch Operations.

  15. Routinely communicates all sales, fee income, and non-interest expense information to the branch staff.

  16. Attends weekly Product Promotional and Development meetings.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Excellent supervisory management skills, knowledge of bank regulations, employee development and public relations.

  • Demonstrated ability to achieve sales/financial goals and objectives.

  • Proficiency in MS office and personal computer skills.

  • Proven leadership ability and demonstrated success in building an effective, productive team.

  • Demonstrated excellent written, verbal communication, listening, and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong organizational, planning and problem-solving skills.

Experience & Education

  • Bachelor's degree or related industry experience.

  • Minimum of 4-5 years of regional branch leadership experience, including sales, service and operations.

Internal and External Contacts

  • Internal contact with various departments within all divisions, including senior management.

  • Frequent contact with community business leaders of local organizations.

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements

Office environment. Ability to operate computer. Ability to communicate in order to exchange simple to complex information with individuals and groups. Ability to travel throughout Bank footprint.
