About the position

The Director of Consultation Services plays a pivotal role in leading a team of dedicated veterinarians and veterinary specialists. Together, we provide personalized telephonic support and guidance to clients worldwide, offering expert advice on diagnostic testing, laboratory results, treatment options, and case management. This position is remote, with a requirement for minimal 50% travel to ensure effective collaboration and support across international locations.

As the Director of Consultation Services, Europe and International, you will strategically lead our team of consultants and medical excellence to optimize efficiencies and foster sustainable growth. Your responsibilities will include ensuring the financial performance of our consultation and Medical Excellence services, as well as strategizing global partnerships to enhance effectiveness and efficiency. Additionally, you'll provide supervision, guidance, and monitoring of contract consultant efforts to meet performance expectations. Promoting team building and continuing education opportunities, resolving client relation issues promptly, and enhancing the client experience will be integral aspects of your role.

Maintaining a high-level knowledge of laboratory diagnostic testing best practices and prioritizing a client-first mentality throughout the organization will be paramount to your success.

Experience required:

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) degree or equivalent

  • Board certification ideal, although other certifications might be considered.

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in clinical practice, post residency.

  • Management experience leading a clinical group including clinical operations is a plus.

  • Prior laboratory diagnostics experience a plus
