About the role
Develops and implements safety, health, and environmental programs to prevent or correct unsafe environmental working conditions by performing the following duties. Other duties may be assigned.
Compensation: $70,000-$90,000
What you will be doing
Provide overall leadership guidance and direction in safety, health, environment, emergency response planning and security management for the plant.
Performs the role of EMS (Environmental Management System) Representative for the respective site.
Develop and implement safety, health, environmental, emergency response, security and fire protection programs to ensure smooth and safe operations.
Liaise with regulatory and government agencies to ensure compliance with safety, health, environmental, security and fire protection laws and regulations related to site location.
Conduct site EHS training, meetings and audits.
Implement corrective actions related to internal/external audit findings.
Investigates industrial incidents using appropriate tools to ensure true root cause identification and true corrective and preventive action implementation. Documents said investigations and results in incident reports and hazard alerts for company-wide distribution.
About you
Engineering or related technical degree with 3 - 5 years’ exp in safety, health and environmental responsibilities.
Ability to read, analyze and interpret the most complex documents.
Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems.
Well-versed in Project Management.
Ability to deal with a variety of abstract and concrete variables.
Team player.
