Texas A&M University’s Mays Business School is a vibrant learning organization of more than 175 faculty members, 125 staff members, and 6,400 undergraduate and graduate students in accounting, finance, management, management information systems, marketing , and supply chain management. As part of Mays Business School, the Adam C. Sinn ’00 Department of Finance , one of the country’s top finance departments, is seeking an Executive Director who will be a highly effective business developer, communicator, and proven leader with a strong network within the Commercial Real Estate (CRE) industry.

This is an exciting opportunity which enables you to continue your business development forte' while cultivating external relationships with CRE leaders, alumni, and trade associations for the purpose of engagement, fundraising, and student recruitment & employment. You'll b uild and manage a Board to govern and direct fundraising, manage business relationships, and offer internal and external stakeholders feedback. Your collaborative and gregarious personality will serve you well as you grow this robust advisory board, producing engaging board events while ensuring interaction between students and external stakeholders. As the Executive Director, you will work closely with the Program Directors, the Real Estate Executive Board, Department Leadership, College and University Career Services, the Texas A&M Foundation and the Association of Former Students serving as the vital link, promoting the work of the academic programs and students to external stakeholders while bringing industry feedback and awareness to internal stakeholders. As a dynamic leader you will c oordinate industry speakers for events while engaged in student recruitment; providing o versight and evaluation of student employment data to make recommendations for strategic change as you c ollaborate with College and University Career Services .     Qualifications

    This position requires a bachelor's degree with ten years of progressive leadership experience in business development or a closely related field. The ideal candidate may have a Master's degree, prior experience serving in a comparable leadership role; experience in fundraising and/or capital raising and building new programs/initiatives; e xperience with academic agencies or similar institutional environments and e xperience within the CRE industry with a class "C" driver's license, or the ability to obtain one within 30 days of employment.

    Salary: Compensation will be commensurate to selected hire’s education and experience .

Other Requirements/Factors: This position is required to travel up to 25% of the time, mostly within the State of Texas, with occasional national travel. The Executive Director will be required to travel to Texas A&M - College Station frequently for training, development, and administration and may be required to work nights and/or weekends outside of standard business hours.
