Responsibilities As a Information Technology Specialist (Plcypln), you will perform the following duties: Manages the financial aspects of one or more major multi-year IT initiatives and ensures achievement of the outcome specified in OCIO's business strategy, life cycle management and capital IT investment plans. Links major OCIO IT initiatives to support the Engineering Division's budget formulation process Reviews, analyzes, consolidates, and revises final budget estimates, justification statements, and budget execution plans submitted by Team Financial Analysts prior to submission ensuring that the IT investment aligns with the OCIO and DHS mission and strategic goals. Basic Requirement: Individuals must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below. Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendation You qualify for this position if you meet the basic requirement listed above and possess one year of specialized experience as described below. You qualify for the GS-13 grade level if you possess one (1) year of specialized experience at the 12 grade level or equivalent performing duties such as: Plans, organizes, and executes annual and multi-year budgeting requirements in support of a designated Branch within the agency Analyzes and interprets the impact of new and proposed legislation on the administrative expense portion of the annual budget. Conducts cost-benefit analyses and total cost of ownership studies to assists the Branch Chief in developing business cases including establishing IT performance metrics. Education Additional Information Salary: The salary range indicated in this announcement reflects the lowest and highest potential salaries for this position.
