The Corporate Accounting and Controllership Manager will oversee the global consolidation process, ensuring timely and accurate submission of financial data. The position will guide and support subsidiary controllers and business group finance directors, participate in monthly subsidiary financial statement reviews, manage lease accounting projects, assist with the financial integration of newly acquired entities, and support internal control and accounting policy compliance projects. Additionally, this individual will manage global finance and accounting learning events to ensure continuous learning and growth of the global finance organization. This position is a people leader with direct reports.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the global consolidation process to ensure timely, accurate submission of financial data and preparation of the monthly financial reporting package. Conduct in-depth analysis of financial statements, identifying any irregularities or inconsistencies, and taking corrective action as needed.

  • Provide guidance and support to subsidiary controllers and business group finance directors. Serve as a key point of contact for financial issues, ensuring effective communication and resolution of any concerns.

  • Assist in reviewing monthly subsidiary results and variance analyses. Participate in monthly financial statement review meetings with senior level finance management.

  • Provide oversight and project management for lease accounting projects, ensuring timely and accurate implementation of lease accounting policies and procedures.

  • Manage global finance and accounting learning events to ensure continuous learning and growth of the finance team.

  • Participate in the financial integration of newly acquired entities.

  • Support internal control and accounting policy compliance initiatives.

  • Review subsidiary statutory reporting and understand statutory-to-GAAP differences.

  • Participate in subsidiary balance sheet reviews and/or technical accounting assessments

  • Assist in maintaining global chart of accounts (COA) and developing COA definition manual

  • Design and direct the work of the team. Coach and mentor, the team in various aspects of their career growth including technical accounting skills and soft skills such as communication, teamwork and problem-solving.

  • Additional analysis or ad hoc projects, as needed

Minimum Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Accounting or Finance

  • 6 years of related accounting experience

  • 2 years progressive leadership experience

  • High degree of US GAAP technical accounting acumen

  • Superior written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong organizational skills

  • Goal-oriented and able to meet aggressive deadlines

Preferred Job Requirements:

  • Certified Public Accountant and/or MBA

  • Public Accounting experience and/or mix of global manufacturing experience

  • Experience with OneStream or equivalent consolidation and reporting software

  • Previous experience with SAP or equivalent ERP

Specific conditions of this job are typical of frequent and continuous computer-based work requiring periods of sitting, close vision, and the ability to adjust focus. Occasional travel.
