Xylem Sales Director in United States

This Director of Sales for Light Industry Division within WSS is responsible for growth of $150M in revenue for aftermarket sales. This role leads and organization of 35 people including sales, leadership, direct sellers, product managers and customer care associates.

Core Responsibilities

  • Manages and leads Aftermarket Sales organization for Light Industry responsible for $150M in revenue and associated growth

  • Responsible for reaching overall revenue and booking targets for the division

  • Responsible for developing business processes and translating sales strategy to actionable tactics to guide and coach the sales team to reach their individual goals

  • Responsible for developing and executing the commercial strategy for Aftermarket for Light division

  • Lives and demonstrates High Impact Behaviors

  • Responsible for leading, coaching, mentoring and developing sales professionals and leaders

  • Delivers on revenue and customer growth targets

  • Aligns objectives of team with WSS and Light goals and objectives

  • Leverages High Impact Behaviors to foster a high performance team

  • Manager of managers responsible for delivering results

  • Works with Segment and divisional leadership to set goals, objectives and targets for key business accounts

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree required, MBA or other advanced degree preferred

  • Minimum of 10 years of leadership experience ; 5+ within a significant sales leadership position

  • Experience within the water industry is preferred or within a science/chemical, service, or an industrial environment

  • Experience in high transaction, high volume sales environment preferred

  • Demonstrated ability to lead in a virtual environment

  • Ability to interact and collaborate with intercompany work groups

  • Excellent mentoring, coaching and people management skills

  • Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close

  • Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office products and CRM

  • Successful experience as a sales representative or sales manager, consistently meeting or exceeding targets

  • Committed to continuous education on industry trends and self-improvement (technology / leadership)

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence effectively at all levels of the organization
