Responsibilities

Ascension is seeking a Senior Systems Analyst to join our Product Data Management team. The successful candidate will help ensure our team takes a data-driven approach to driving awareness, access, healing, and health for all Ascension patients, with a particular focus on the poor and vulnerable. The ideal candidate will be crucial in leveraging data to recognize patterns, identify opportunities, pose business questions, drive decision-making, optimize solutions, and enhance consumer satisfaction and well-being. This position requires a strong blend of technical expertise, business acumen, and problem-solving skills.

  • Analyze current IT systems and processes to identify areas for improvement.

  • Evaluate new technologies and software solutions to enhance system efficiency.

  • Design and recommend IT solutions that meet business requirements.

  • Create detailed system design documents and flowcharts

  • Coordinate with development teams to ensure the successful implementation of solutions.

  • Conduct system testing and validation to ensure functionality and performance.

  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for system issues.

  • Maintain and update documentation for IT systems and processes.

  • Works with customers to understand and explain business and technical issues, respond to user problems,explain new technologies, and present deliverables.

  • Participates in design, contributing technical insights and ideas. Helps formulate project scope and objectives

  • Create documentation of a new or proposed system. Shares knowledge effectively within the work team

Requirements

Education:

  • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Bachelor's degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

Additional Preferences

  • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field; Advanced degree preferred

  • 3-5 years in a deeply technical role such as analytics, data engineering, data science, or statistics in a digital, product, or e-commerce organization

  • Healthcare Industry knowledge strongly preferred

  • Strong business analysis , requirement elicitation and documentation skills

  • Knowledge of SDLC , Agile methodologies, User stories and acceptance criteria

  • Ability to identify, communicate and mitigate risks timely, good time Management and prioritization skills

  • Proficient in SQL and familiarity with at least one other analytic programming language (e.g., R, Python, SAS, SPSS) is preferred

  • Proficiency in analyzing and designing IT systems, particularly in a healthcare setting

  • Jira knowledge is preferred.

  • Experience working in a fast paced environment strongly preferred
