Position: Vacation Rental Cleaning Supervisor

Overview: Makaha Cleaners is seeking a dedicated and experienced Vacation Rental Cleaning Supervisor to oversee and manage our cleaning team. The ideal candidate will ensure that our rental properties are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and organization. This role requires strong leadership, multitasking abilities, and excellent attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervision and Management:

    • Lead, supervise, and coordinate the activities of the cleaning team.
    • Ensure that all cleaning tasks are completed efficiently and to high standards.
    • Provide training and support to new team members on cleaning procedures and best practices.
  • Quality Control:

    • Conduct regular inspections of cleaned properties to ensure they meet our quality standards.
    • Address and rectify any cleaning issues or deficiencies promptly.
    • Maintain a checklist for each property to ensure consistency and thoroughness.
  • Scheduling and Coordination:

    • Develop and manage cleaning schedules to ensure timely turnover of vacation rental properties.
    • Coordinate with the booking team to prioritize properties based on guest check-in and check-out times.
    • Manage team shifts and allocate tasks based on workload and staff availability.
  • Communication and Reporting:

    • Serve as the main point of contact for the cleaning team, providing guidance and addressing concerns.
    • Communicate with property managers and other departments to report any maintenance issues or supply needs.
    • Maintain records of completed tasks, issues encountered, and actions taken.
  • Inventory and Supplies:

    • Monitor and manage cleaning supplies and equipment inventory.
    • Ensure that all necessary cleaning materials are available and in good working condition.
    • Order supplies as needed and manage the budget for cleaning materials.
  • Deep Cleaning and Special Projects:

    • Oversee deep cleaning projects and special cleaning tasks on non-check-in days.
    • Ensure that AC filters, appliances, and other areas requiring periodic deep cleaning are maintained properly.
