Role Description:
As a Purchasing Management Support Profile, you will play a vital role in the procurement process by sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing materials. You will be responsible for ensuring that the procurement activities align with the company's goals and objectives, while also maintaining time-efficient and cost-effective purchasing procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Identify and evaluate sources for a variety of products
- Evaluate and negotiate supplier proposals
- Review and evaluate supplier qualifications, lead time, and cost
- Provide cost and lead time information provided by the supplier to management
- Make sure project BOMs are fully evaluated and sourced with respect to project deadline
- Prepare purchase orders
- Address supplier disputes and performance deficiencies
- Monitor and control supplier delivery performance
- Monitor and control inventory levels and spend consistently with management's strategic plan
- Provide feedback regarding the progress of orders, including delays and reasons for the same
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years experience in the role
- Knowledge of industry suppliers
- Packaging industry knowledge preferred
- Technical understanding
- Basic understanding of materials - Additional details: Understanding and knowledge of Ferrous and no-ferrous metals, Plastics, Gaskets (different styles) and commercial solutions
- Basic understanding of automation/packaging mechanical assemblies
- Basic understanding of automation/packaging control assemblies
- Understanding of ERP systems
- Additional details: concept of article BOM, code articles, code type/family
- Solid knowledge of use of computer tools like MS Package (Excel, Word, PowerPoint (PPTX)); understanding of Gantt structure and flow charts
- Basic knowledge/understanding of measurement principles / hand measurement tools (Caliper, Micrometer, Protractor, etc.) as well as Geometrical Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) basics.

- French and Italian are very useful additional language skills
