Job Title: Construction Foreman
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Construction Foreman to organize and lead a crew in a safe and productive manner. This role involves tracking production, completing paperwork daily, maintaining a clean job site, teaching and leading the crew, and collaborating closely with the Site Superintendent. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in heavy equipment operations and civil construction, with excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities
Organize and lead a crew in a safe and productive manner
Track production and complete paperwork daily
Maintain a clean and tidy job site
Lead by example and teach the crew
Relay production goals to the crew and hold them accountable for meeting them
Work closely with the Site Superintendent
Follow company policies and procedures
Essential Skills
5+ years of experience managing a heavy equipment operating crew
Ability to operate multiple pieces of equipment (Dozer, Track Hoe, Grader) at the highest level
Experience with GPS systems (Trimble/TopCon)
Civil construction and construction supervision
Heavy equipment operation
Blueprint reading
Pipe crew experience
Site development
Excavator and dozer operation
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Excellent leadership abilities
Great interpersonal skills
Experience leading a crew

Work Environment
This role involves working outdoors in all weather conditions, including cold and extreme heat. You must be comfortable working in these conditions. You will need to provide your own personal protective equipment (PPE), including boots, vest, hard hat, and gloves.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Walterboro, South Carolina.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $30.00/hr.
