About the Position: Serves as a senior Program Analyst in the Materials Systems Organization and provides guidance to employees to accomplish assigned missions. Formulates plans, policies, and command objectives for implementation of programming and financial management of available resources utilized in the execution of programs. Responsibilities Maintains an expert-level understanding of DoD/Army Financial Management and Execution regulations, policies, processes, and procedures in order to advise management, compile and analyze data, execute funds, and prepare various reports. Recommends policies, provides guidance for their implementation, and conducts post audits to determine compliance. Identifies existing or potential problem areas and recommends or directs necessary corrective action of preventive measures. Responsible for executing the budget in accordance with fiscal law and all applicable regulations. Prepares and provides all technical assistance and budgetary reports or analyses as requested. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
