If you want to be part of tomorrow's health today, we want to hear from you. We are currently seeking a Director of Distribution Excellence (DDE) for the East region. Location is open to any East Region distribution center. This is a challenging and dynamic role that helps foster the success of the region. The ideal candidate should be well versed in distribution operations and help guide our operations teams to decisions that best help the entire organization. The DDE will need to consider several factors when making decisions or providing guidance, including operational efficiency, inventory management and optimization, customer satisfaction, and regulatory adherence. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Serve as project lead on operational projects across the region and/or network such as DC startups, retro-fits or remodels Also performs analysis on data obtained through various report generation, data mining or conferring with other managers/supervisors to plan for new commitments or operational changes. Lead business continuity (BCP) efforts throughout the region to assist DCs navigate various incidents, including hurricanes, snowstorms, technical issues, and staffing shortages. Serve as a thought leader and help consult with DC leadership on all DC matters, including (but not limited to) SOPs, staffing levels, & inventory management Help ensure DCs comply with regulations published by the DEA, FDA or other government agencies. Evaluate current procedures and practices for accomplishing department objectives and improving cost; may develop and implement improved procedures and practices. During DC visits will work with and audit DC procedures in areas such as Safety, Haz Shipping and SOP compliance in general. May train distribution centers on standard operating procedures and produce reports that demonstrate compliance with the procedures. Translate processes between DCs as appropriate. Monitors and analyzes costs and assists in the preparation of budgets. Must be able to resolve problems, set deadlines to ensure timely completion of work and communicate effectively. Additionally, the applicant should have the ability to collaborate across the continuum of warehouse and management teams for the pharmaceutical network Minimum Requirement Degree or equivalent and typically requires 7+ years of relevant experience. Education 4-year degree or equivalent experience Critical Skills 10+ years operational experience and knowledge in distribution or manufacturing Expertise in operational processes, with a focus on quality and attention to detail Project management and business acumen with the ability to work in a matrix organization Proficient in using systems and reporting tools such as AS400 Query, SAP, Business Objects, and Microsoft Office Skilled in generating reports and gathering insights through various software and systems Experience working in highly regulated environments, with interaction with DEA, FDA, and OSHA Willingness to travel up to 50% Additional Knowledge & Skills The ability to establish partnerships, influence and collaborate across multiple levels of an organization The ability to think andmanage through ambiguity Results oriented Physical Requi
