What you will do

Let’s do this. Let’s change the world. In this vital role you will be reporting to the US Medical Affairs Lead for Bone, your role is essential in supporting the franchise objectives and ensuring effective operations. Your day-to-day activities will involve developing collaborative research proposals and protocols with PIs and trusted vendors, coordinating meetings, setting agendas, facilitating internal research achievements through the Access and Use Evidence Generation process. Additionally, you will be responsible for developing presentations that effectively communicate complex information to both internal and external audiences, showcasing the study achievements. Other implementation science projects may be in scope with other internal and external stakeholders.

  • Serve as POC to lead collaborative implementation science research studies and projects for US Bone Medical Affairs

  • Co-develop implementation science strategy

  • Follow SOPs to develop protocols and obtain internal approval, and serve as study manager

  • Maintain relationships with external PIs and vendors involved in research and other initiatives

  • Coordinate all meeting logistics with external PIs and vendors, including scheduling, agenda setting, and follow-up actions

  • Oversee legal agreements with all parties, ensuring compliance and proper documentation

  • Update internal documents in repositories (MS Teams and SharePoint) to ensure fidelity of information

  • Track project and engagement metrics toward strategic plan

  • Communicate project updates to internal stakeholders, keeping them informed of progress and key achievements

  • Support US Bone Medical Lead to establish Amgen as a leader in implementation science

  • Support implementation science studies and initiatives across the country with anticipation of travel to congresses, sharing sessions, roundtables, advisory boards and educational events

  • Collaborate with all cross functional partners in appropriate forums

Basic Qualifications:

Doctorate degree and 3 years of industry or implementation science experience

OR

Master’s degree and 5 years of industry or implementation science experience

OR

Bachelor’s degree and 7 years of industry or implementation science experience

OR

Associate’s degree and 12 years of industry or implementation science experience

OR

High school diploma / GED and 14 years of industry or implementation science experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Scientific or clinical experience in the field of osteoporosis or chronic care management

  • Familiarity with Fracture Liaison Service or post fracture osteoporosis care case management

  • Deep understanding or proficiency in electronic health records

  • Ability to adapt in agile ways of working with strong strategic planning and project management skills to clear a course of action to deliver results

  • Ability to integrate cross functional internal teams with excellent influencing, communication, and interpersonal skills to connect the dots to amplify the power of Amgen to get results

  • Accelerate multiple project initiatives simultaneously with strong analytical, business insight, and problem-solving skills to meet patient needs

  • Knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry including field medical operations best practices and implementation science landscape.

  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office applications (specifically Excel and PowerPoint) and Smartsheet

  • Confidence in working with various levels of staff

  • Experience leading or being a part of a cross-functional project team

  • Experience working with key internal or external partners, establishing, communicating, and leading teams to timelines and project targets

  • Experience critically evaluating process and establishing creative solutions

  • Utilization of Project Management tools, methodologies, and practices

  • Strong project management skills, lead and run projects from concept to completion in a matrix and, at times, ambiguous environment

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to clearly and successfully present

The expected annual salary range for this role in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is $168,341.00 to $ 206,653.00. Actual salary will vary based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
