This position is in the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center, 1300 Pennsylvania Ave., NW., Washington, DC, in the Office of Security, Counterterrorism and Information Security Division, at the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID). Responsibilities Evaluate large volumes of information and screen, synthesize, and translate it into strategically relevant intelligence to provide decision-advantage to USAID leaders. Provide intelligence briefings for USAID leadership and produce products, threat assessments and intelligence reports on broad, exceptionally complex or highly sensitive issues that affect USAID missions. Provide accurate, thorough, timely, and usable intelligence analysis while demonstrating use of sound analytical tradecraft, proper data sets and methodologies. Advance inter- and intra-agency coordination and collaboration to collect and/or share information of intelligence value to fill information gaps. Liaise with other intelligence analysts and experts in specialty fields to coordinate information requirements, provides assistance in developing community intelligence reports. Provide intelligence support for USAID missions for routine and emergency matters and promote effective working relationships with key stakeholders. Experience performing intelligence research and analysis for the Asia geographic region required. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Specialized Experience: GS-13: You must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service. One year of specialized experience refers to full-time work; we consider a part-time job on a prorated basis. Examples of qualifying specialized experience at the next lower level for this position include: (a) providing senior officials with all-source intelligence analysis for the Asia region focusing on strategic analysis of issues that affect national security; (b) employing established data analysis techniques to evaluate all-source information to reach analytical judgments in accordance with Intelligence Community standards; and (c) liaising with counterparts in other intelligence agencies or organizations to fill intelligence gaps. . SELECTIVE PLACEMENT FACTOR: This position contains a Selective Placement Factor. Your experience must be documented in your resume. Experience performing intelligence research and analysis for the Asia geographic region is required. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience relevant to the position's duties to be filled, including volunteer experience. CTAP/ICTAP candidates will be referred to the selecting official if they are found well qualified. Well-qualified means an eligible employee who possesses the knowledge, skills, and abilities that clearly exceed the position's minimum requirements.
