Criterion Systems Inc Network Administrator Tier II/III in Washington, District Of Columbia

We are seeking a mission-focused Network Administrator to provide Tier II/III watch support and contribute to our government customers success in Washington, DC!

Our mission on this program will be the design, transition, operations, and continual service improvement to include tech modernization, tech refresh, or Capital Equipment Replacement Program (CERP) activities associated with the clients LANs, WAN and UC services.

As a Network Administrator (Watch Support), you will provide more in-depth customer support and attempt to resolve incidents that could not be resolved by Tier 1. At Tier II, incident management functions alongside problem management, as an analysis of incidents may indicate a more significant problem.

Duties, Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Provide incident management alongside problem management for analysis of incidents that indicate a larger problem

  • Use information provided by Tier 1 and log additional information as needed

  • Incident analysis and identification of potential problems.

  • Resolve Service Requests

  • Escalate Service Requests to Tier 3, if necessary

  • Route Service Requests to the appropriate organization required for incident resolution

  • Entering Solutions into the Solutions database

  • Provide customer desktop support when required (e.g., hardware failures), if necessary

  • Demonstrate innovative engineering acumen for improvements to site, location, or enterprise performance.

  • Make recommendations that enhance efficiencies for network monitoring, management, and overall operations.

  • Participate in engineering designs/decisions that impact technical refresh of components directly impacting mission success.

  • May manage implementation, installation, and technical refresh projects within a site or locale.

  • May require detailed information gathering, analysis, and investigation to understand problems.

  • May influence other technical staff through explanation of facts, policies, and practices.

Required Experience, Education, Skills and Technologies:

  • An active TS/SCI with CI polygraph

  • Years of experience with one of the following:

    • High School/GED plus seven (7) years of relevant experience

    • Associate degree plus five (5) years of relevant experience

    • Bachelor's degree plus three (3) years of relevant experience

    • Master's degree plus one (1) year of relevant experience

  • DOD 8140 certification(s): IAT II, Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)

Security Clearance Level:

  • TS/SCI with CI polygraph

Work Schedule:

  • Full-time on-site
