Amentum Network Administrator in Washington, District Of Columbia

Amentum is seeking a Network Administrator to join our team and support our Colorado Springs, CO or Washington, DC customers. We are looking for team members who are passionate about making a difference by working on critical efforts we manage as a premier government contractor.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide analysis, administration and support of voice, video, and/or data communications networks

  • Ensure compliance with network security policies and procedures

  • Manage the Enterprise Network for resource availability

  • Process Authorized Service Interruptions (ASI's) as directed and interface with vendors to ensure appropriate resolution during network outages or periods of reduced performance

  • Provide After Action Reports (AARs) for Problem Management resolution

  • Evaluate hardware and software, including peripheral, output, and related equipment

  • Participate in the development and implementation of network-related procedures, standards, installations, upgrades, testing, and associated documentation

  • Mentor and train end-users and less-experienced network personnel

Compensation & Benefits:

HIRING SALARY RANGE: $136,000 - $156,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities of the applicant internal equity, and alignment with market data.) Minimum Requirements:

  • PhD degree in an IT/network related field, and at least 2 years of network administration experience

  • Or a Master’s degree in an IT/network related field, and at least 4 years of network administration experience

  • Or a Bachelor's degree in an IT/network related field, and at least 6 years of network administration experience

  • Or an Associates degree in an IT/network related field, and at least 8 years of network administration experience

  • Or a High school diploma/GED, at least 10 years of network administration experience

  • Possess current DoD 8570 IAT II certification (which includes either a Security+, CCNA-Security, CySa+, GICSP, GSEC, CND, and/or SSCP certification)

  • Possess a CCNA or equivalent certification (i.e. JNCIA or higher certification such as CCNP, JNCIP, JNCIS, and/or GVF)

  • Extensive experience monitoring and configuring crypto equipment; ability to identify, analyze, and resolve operating/hardware network system problems

  • Comprehensive knowledge of Cisco and Juniper routers and switches

  • Demonstrated experience with network troubleshooting techniques

  • Experience with both LAN and WAN troubleshooting, and with WAN circuit technologies (T1, DS3, OC-3, OC-12, OC-192)

  • Comprehensive knowledge of operating systems and applications as they pertain to the network environment

  • Experience with programming and troubleshooting KG-175A and KG-175D encryptors (to include 10G encryptors)

  • Must have an Active Top Secret US Government Clearance with SCI eligibility, and the ability to obtain a polygraph prior to your start. Note: US Citizenship is required to maintain a Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a Department of Defense (DoD) or Intelligence Community (IC) environment
