U.S. Secret Service Property Management Specialist in Washington, District Of Columbia

Summary Joining the Secret Service, Asset Forfeiture Branch, Criminal Investigative Division will allow you to be an important contributor to a team responsible for developing and implementing a standard system to account for property and report and resolve incidents of property management issues; evaluates Final Orders of Forfeiture and/or Default Judgments and coordinates on-site seizures and field office consignments of property. Responsibilities The selectee will serve as a/an Property Management Specialistin the Asset Forfeiture Branch. Typical work assignments include: Provide expert guidance to applicable stakeholders in analyzing the impact of changes affecting the status of seized property and in planning and providing technical policy and administrative guidance on property matters. Oversees the maintenance and initiates periodic updates to the Fastrak Tracking System which is utilized to track all property and disposition of all (open and closed) records Develop, manages and implements a uniform system to account for property and to report and resolve incidents of property management issues. Analyze data on seized property forfeited to assure that it is only used to augment resources in conducting criminal investigations and/or train personnel in law enforcement. Serve as the Contract Officer's Representative (COR) on contracts and projects as needed; reviews and edits technical statements of work and procurement requests submitted by project managers for clarity, sufficiency, and adequate documentation and recommends necessary changes and revisions Requirements Conditions of Employment You must be a U.S. citizen to apply for this position. Qualifications Applicants must demonstrate that they meet the Specialized Experience requirements as noted below: Minimum Qualifications: You qualify for the GS-12 level (starting salary $101,401.00) if you possess one of the following: GS-12: Applicant must possess one full year of specialized experience comparable in scope and responsibility to the GS-11 level in the Federal service (obtained in either the public or private sectors) performing the following duties: 1. Utilizing a standardized system for property management in order to effectively account for any property related issues and associated corrections. 2. Conducting evaluations of property and asset forfeiture to produce documentation, develop interpretations, projections, policies, and/or plans; and 3. Collaborating with stakeholders to produce reports, conclusions, inventories, audits and/or recommendations to ensure compliance. You qualify for the GS-13 level (starting salary $101,401.00) if you possess one f ull year of specialized experience comparable in scope and responsibility to the GS-12 level in the Federal service (obtained in either the public or private sectors) performing the following duties: Maintaining a standardized system for property management in order to ensure quality assurance of inventory and documentation. Evaluating orders of forfeiture and default judgements for accuracy to ensure proper services rendered, and Determining that property is disposed of timely after evaluation, to remain in compliance with established policy and regulations.
