Provide the Force Safety and Occupational Safety office work to design and execute safety communications campaigns both internal to FSOH, Readiness, and in conjunction with the Services and the other DoD Components.

Conduct research on specific focus areas.

Draft public affairs guidance, communications plans with talking points and timelines, and briefing cards for senior leader use in speaking about specific focus areas.

Coordinate with the OSD Office of Public Affairs and Legislative Affairs in support of communications plan implementation and in response to specific requests for information.

Draft talking points, press releases, and other related products for implementation of communications plan and in response to specific requests for information.

Recommend message and information development for safety and occupational health and related focus areas.

Identify target audiences and develop messages based on the target audiences.

Plan and execute strategic safety engagements for FSOH Director and Assistant Secretary of Defense for Readiness. This includes but is not limited to coordinating and preparing local Washington, DC and other Continental US engagements for senior leaders and working directly with DoD VIPs and their staff.

Provide all protocol and other executive support for the identification, planning, coordination, and execution for safety strategic engagements.

Develop detailed "play-by-play" itineraries for executive travel and events.

Aid with drafting content for strategic safety engagements including agendas, briefings, read ahead materials, talking points, background, etc.

Coordinate and finalize plans, monitoring project/engagement progress, and supporting the event(s) to completion, including any follow up actions and documentation.
