Job Summary

Responsible for maintaining software systems used for Nuclear training applications aligned with current technology and business needs of the department, company and industry. Provides training and guidance to employees on use of training software. Tests new software and software changes to ensure quality of product and performs routine testing of current software. Writes test plans for upgrades and modifications. Provides detailed requirements for specifications. Researches, analyzes and addresses issues and/or provides assistance to IT to troubleshoot identified issues. Makes changes in structure (roles, qualifications, etc.) of LMS to support training needs and acts as fleet training coordinator for LMS. Creates qualifications reports. Works with supervisors, instructors and plant leads to design, modify and implement new or changes to current training qualifications. Develops project plans and provides technical solutions and or options for implementation.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience

  • 5+ years IT experience in business systems analysis and development and implementation of applicable systems.

  • Excellent understanding of business systems and industry requirements.

  • In-depth knowledge of software troubleshooting.

  • Full knowledge of training qualification structure.

  • Knowledge of software design.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to research and understand customer issues.

  • Ability to work with all levels of employees, and to influence and impact others.

  • Demonstrated organization and planning skills.

  • Ability to handle multiple deadlines and adapt to change.

  • Ability to develop programs and conduct training.

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently.

  • Concern for quality.

  • Software custodian qualification.

Education Requirements

Degree or an equivalent combination of education and demonstrated related experience may be accepted in lieu of preferred level of education:

Bachelor

Preferred Disciplines: Business, Information Systems, Math/Computer Science

Other disciplines may be substituted for the preferred disciplines(s) listed above.
