JOB REQUIREMENTS: Examine completed workpieces for defects, such as chipped edges or marred surfaces and sort defective pieces according to types of flaws. Measure completed workpieces to verify conformance to specifications, using micrometers, gauges, calipers, templates, or rulers. Set stops on machine beds, change dies, and adjust components, such as rams or power presses, when making multiple or successive passes. Start machines, monitor their operations, and record operational data. Test and adjust machine speeds or actions, according to product specifications, using gauges and hand tools. Read work orders or production schedules to determine specifications, such as materials to be used, locations of cutting lines, or dimensions and tolerances. Set up, operate, or tend machines to saw, cut, shear, slit, punch, crimp, notch, bend, or straighten metal or plastic material. Load workpieces, plastic material, or chemical solutions into machines. Clean work area. But the position is probably 75% machine operator and 25% warehouse. We are looking for someone who has some experience and or is mechanically inclined and a good problem solver. The job would entail shipping and receiving, packaging products to ship, inventory, staging materials then eventually loading and learning to run the machines. The machines would be our slitter and E-beam machines.
