As part of our Systems Engineering team, you will be designing and testing advanced Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (C4ISR) systems for the United States DoD and international customers.
As a Systems Engineer, you will participate in unique multi-disciplinary research across integrated product teams consisting of Guidance, Navigation and Control (GNC), Positioning, Navigation, and Timing (PNT), Data Registration, and Geolocation and Tracking technologies. You will develop new systems and update existing systems. Modeling & Simulation includes model development, system optimization and Monte Carlo assessments with expected behavior.
You will be the technical expert in a team environment on diverse projects, providing solutions to create high fidelity simulations and models for system design, performance assessment, interference mitigation, trade studies and support to government evaluations.
You will work alone, or through oversight of teams, to solve complex problems.
Duties and Responsibilities may include:
Development of Simulation Models
Leadership of small team teams and/or specific efforts
Perform simulation using government or industry tools to determine measures of performance (MOPs) and measures of effectiveness (MOEs) for systems.
Perform modeling and simulation studies that optimize mission performance for tactical and weapon systems across air, land, sea, ground, and space and domains.
Visualization of the battlespace at a mission or engagement level
Use, develop, and modifying tools to support:
Data analysis of simulation or flight test results
Requirements analysis

Because of the need for consistent, in-person collaboration and/or the requirement to perform all work onsite due to the nature of this particular role, it will be performed fulltime on site. This means work will be conducted on location at a BAE Systems facility 100% of the time.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills
A Masters' Degree in Electrical Engineering and 8 years work experience or equivalent experience
Mathematics and physics
Linear and nonlinear systems, probability and stochastic systems, control systems, estimation (Kalman filters)
Navigation, geolocation, and tracking
Eligibility for a government security clearance (will be subject to a government security investigation).
Strong experience with mathematical modeling tools and languages such as MATLAB, Python and similar tools.
Ability to work independently.
Strong ability to communicate with customers and team members.
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
Current Secret clearance
PhD Degree in Electrical Engineering, Applied Math, Physics or similar fields with 6 years of relevant demonstrated technical experience
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $147300 - $250400
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
