CDS Life Transitions Director of IT Infrastructure and Security in Webster, New York

Summary:

The Director of IT Infrastructure and Security will be responsible for managing the IT Infrastructure and Security team. This includes designing, configuring, and administration of CDS Life Transitions server architecture.

Essential Job Functions:
  • Responsible for the overall planning, design, and implementation of CDS’s infrastructure and security solutions.

  • Design and deploy new servers (physical and cloud based) and applications as well as enhancements to existing systems.

  • Collaborate with IT department, CDS staff, vendors, and other agencies to identify and implement solutions.

  • Analyze complex business situations in order to recommend and implement technical solutions.

  • Maintain security of servers and applications utilizing a variety of tools and processes.

  • Participate in server and security audits, system backup procedures, and recovery processes in accordance with the company’s disaster recovery and business continuity strategies.

  • Work with colleagues and users/customers to provide professional, courteous, and timely support and service as needed.

  • Provide technical consultation, training, and support to other IT staff.

  • Regularly maintain technical and process documentation.

  • Work independently to maintain knowledge and skills and remain current with technologies.

  • Performs other duties as required.

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Advanced knowledge of Virtualization, Microsoft Windows Servers, Windows Active Directory, Group Policies.

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Azure, Office365, Microsoft Endpoint Manager/Intune, SharePoint.

  • Advanced knowledge of networking principles (SD-WAN, DNS, DHCP, VPN, Firewalls) and equipment (routers, switches, WAPs, etc).

  • Knowledge and experience with AWS.

  • Experience with security tools such as: EDR/MDR/XDR, SIEM, DNS Filters, RMM/MDM tools.

  • Experience migrating physical infrastructure to the cloud.

  • Experience with vulnerability scanning and remediation.

  • Experience working in environment with PHI, PII or other sensitive information.

  • Must be able to multi-task, establish priorities, and meet deadlines, as well as work in a collaborative environment.

  • Ability to lead others in implementation efforts and technology related projects as well as mentor staff.

  • Self-starter who can learn and understand new technology quickly and independently.

  • Strong communication and writing skills.

    Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Technology, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Five or more years experience managing infrastructure teams.

  • Cloud Implementation and support experience preferred (AWS/Azure/Office 365).

  • MCSE, CCNA, or VCP preferred, but not necessary.

  • Experience working with privacy and security frameworks such as NIST SP 800-53 strongly preferred.

  • Proven experience executing enterprise solutions in a fast paced, technologically diverse environment.
