Coordinates all activities related to the procurement of parts, materials, and supplies, to support the efficient operation of the company.
§ Coordinates all activities related to procurement of material beginning with intent to purchase through delivery.
§ Reviews proposals, negotiates prices, selects, or recommends suppliers, analyzes trends, follows up on orders placed, confirms delivery, and maintains necessary records.
§ Monitors minimum/maximum levels of inventory and supplies to assure optimum on hand quantities to support repair, and new business needs.
§ Communicates with shop, engineering, accounting, inspection, shipping/receiving, finance and customer service personnel.
§ Performs other duties as assigned.
Ensures compliance with SOX process requirements & Finance policy manual

Qualifications:
§ Education/Training:
- Bachelor’s Degree or relevant years of successful experience at a professional level Purchasing
§ Thorough knowledge of:
Supply chain operations in a manufacturing environment, including job costing
Microsoft office basics
EAP Software Familiarize
§ Skill to:
o Able to use basic accounting principles in relation to inventory and cost
Read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures and governmental regulations
Interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions and deal with several abstract and concrete variables
Define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions
Write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals
Present information and respond to questions from management, customers and vendors
Analyze market and delivery conditions to determine material availability and to prepare analytical reports
Lead, mentor and coach
Learn industry-related software
